Matt Goss , Vice President

As Vice President at Matthew Thomas Advisors, Matt Goss leads the firm’s deal execution team and oversees all aspects of the M&A process, ensuring that each transaction is managed with precision, responsiveness, and strategic insight. His role spans from due diligence and financial analysis to drafting client materials and coordinating with buyers, attorneys, and other advisors to keep deals moving efficiently toward close.

Prior to joining MTA, Matt served as Consulting Manager at Louis Plung & Company. There, he specialized in advising clients in the professional services, private equity, and investment fund sectors. His work included transaction advisory, business valuation, forensic, and tax restructuring services, giving him a well-rounded perspective on financial risk and value. During his time at Louis Plung, Matt represented the firm as a member of the Estate Planning Council of Pittsburgh and the ACG Future Corporate Leaders program. Prior to his role at Louis Plung & Company, Matt held a variety of other positions within the accounting industry. Most notably, he spent three years at Deloitte, where he served clients in the manufacturing, retail, and distributions industries.

Outside of his professional career, Matt serves on the Board of Directors of Levo International, a nonprofit organization focused on promoting global food security through sustainable farming innovation.

A native of Hampton Township—just outside Pittsburgh—Matt is a proud supporter of all things Pittsburgh sports. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, rock climbing, and challenging himself in new environments. A lifelong learner, Matt embraces the complexity of each client engagement and takes pride in helping clients navigate the demanding and rewarding process of buying or selling a business.
